Drawing to Determine Outcomes of State Senate District 20 and State Representative District 43 Contests

Pearl City – Pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 11‑157, the Office of Elections will conduct a drawing by lot to determine the outcomes of the State Senate District 20 and State Representative District 43 contests.

The drawing is required due to ties in the 2026 Primary Election results between candidates:

Kurt Fevella and Bob McDermott – State Senate District 20
Sheila Medeiros and Kanani Souza – State Representative District 43

To ensure transparency and public accessibility, the drawing will be livestreamed for the community to observe.
